The Creative Vision

I use a timeless photography technique to capture your story with beautiful connections at the core of every photograph. When posing direction is needed, it will feel organic and natural. When the candid moments speak volumes on their own, I will quietly document the events as is without interfering. This helps the feelings be more accurately and delicately conveyed in the final images. If you’re looking for something specific, or have a particular vision for an image, please let me know so that I can add it to the list of must-haves.

Expect a grounded and relaxed photography style, mixing romantic and stylized imagery with a photojournalistic depiction.

Communication Policy

The quality of the experience is deeply influenced by the organization. As such, I ask that you communicate with me primarily through email. This makes it simple for both you and I to find important details, and to prevent requests or questions from getting lost. On the day of your session, text messages and phone calls are welcome.

Session

During the session design process, one of the most important decisions to make is where your session will take place. Our surroundings will greatly impact the final outcome of the photographs, as well as your experience during the session itself.

Portrait sessions are offered throughout southern Maryland, Annapolis, and Washington DC. After years of experience, I've worked almost everywhere in the local area! During your planning call, we'll discuss your vision for the session and I'll make recommendations accordingly.

Please note that some locations are only available seasonally, or may require an additional permit fee to access. I will coordinate this process for you and invoice separately for permits as needed.

I offer both in-home and studio sessions in order to best accommodate your specific vision and preferences, which we will discuss during your planning call. Sessions typically take place in the first few weeks of life, and always in the late morning. I take a relaxed and baby-led approach to my newborn work, always stopping for baby breaks as needed.

Within one week of your session, you’ll receive a private link to a gallery of high-resolution digital images. From there, you'll be able to select your images if a print or digital collection has not already been purchased.

Can we add an album or other heirloom print?

Of course. I offer fine art prints, heirloom albums, keepsake boxes and more. Just email me and I can share the specifics. You can customize your finish, add embossing and more. There's also a professional print shop available within your online gallery, so you can order keepsakes directly yourself.

WHAT IF IT RAINS OR WE'RE SICK?

We'll select a rain date during your planning call as needed. If anyone in your family is ill on our session date, please contact me ASAP to postpone and select a new date. I would much rather delay our session than to spread germs, or have anyone miserable!
